Madison County Transit (MCT) is transitioning all Free Ride IDs without expiration dates to contactless “Smartcards.” All MCT ID holders that have an ID that lacks an expiration date must attend an ID Distribution Session to have a new photo ID issued.

MCT Half Fare IDs will not be issued on smartcards but MUST be replaced.

MCT will continue to accept the current Free Ride and Half Fare IDs through August 30, 2016. To obtain a new Smartcard ID, individuals must meet all current eligibility guidelines and bring the necessary documentation. Having an MCT ID now or in the past does not mean you are eligible for a new MCT ID. Please see the following guidelines below to ensure you qualify for a half-fare or free ride MCT ID before attending.

Upcoming ID Sessions:
Thursday, September 15 (1 – 4 p.m.)
Wednesday, October 5 (1 - 4 p.m.)
Wednesday, November 2 (1 - 4 p.m.)
Wednesday, December 7 (1 - 4 p.m.)

All sessions are held at Edwardsville Station
158 N. Main Street
Edwardsville, IL 62025
