Free Ride / Half Fare IDs
Live in Madison County? You may qualify for a Free Ride or Half Fare ID card to be used on MCT Fixed-Route Buses! MCT will be visiting
a number of Madison County communities to issue photo IDs. Please see schedule of times and locations below. Please also see the
information regarding what to bring to get your ID.
If you have already received an ID, continue using your current MCT Free Ride or Half Fare ID until further notice. Despite the 6/30/2010
expiration date, you do not need to renew your ID.
MCT will issue Free Ride and Half Fare IDs on the first Thursday of each month at the MCT Edwardsville Station from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Over 65 years of age? YOU MUST BRING:
- State issued ID with birth date (or photo ID with birth certificate)
- Evidence of residence in Madison County Transit District* (Voter’s registration card)
Enrolled in the Illinois Circuit Breaker program? YOU MUST BRING:
- State issued Circuit Breaker postcard verifying enrollment in the program (yellow postcard)
- Photo ID
Currently a registered ACT Paratransit customer? YOU MUST BRING:
- Current (unexpired) “MCT Certificate of Eligibility for ADA Paratransit Service” card
* Madison County Transit District townships: Alton, Chouteau, Collinsville, Edwardsville, Fort Russell, Foster, Godfrey, Granite City, Helvetia, Jarvis, Moro,
Nameoki, Saline, St. Jacob, Venice, Wood River.
If you do not live in the MCT District and are 65 and over, you can receive a Half Fare ID.If you have a disability and can bring a “red, white, and blue”
Medicare card and a photo ID, you can receive a Half Fare ID as well.
