PROPOSED JANUARY 2024 SERVICE CHANGE

Madison County Transit (MCT) is considering implementing significant adjustments to service at the January 2024 Service Change in response to low ridership on some routes, and exciting new destinations. Due to staggeringly low ridership on the Gateway Commerce Center express routes, MCT is proposing eliminating the #24X Riverbend- Gateway Commerce Center Express and the #25X Collinsville-Gateway Commerce Center Express. MCT is also proposing the creation of express service to City Park in St. Louis for home St. Louis City SC soccer games, beginning in 2024.

MCT will host several open house-style information sessions to engage the public, gather feedback, and answer questions about the proposed changes.

Comments can be made at public meetings, sent via email to info@mct.org, by calling (618) 797-4600, or sending a letter to: Madison County Transit c/o Proposed Service Change, 1 Transit Way, Pontoon Beach, IL 62040. Comments will be summarized and presented to the MCT Board of Trustees for consideration. Alternative formats available upon request. All comments must be received by Friday, September 22 at 5:00 P.M.
