How much are MCT Monthly Passes?
$40.00 for an MCT Local Pass / $70.00 for an MCT System Pass / $15 for an MCT Student Monthly Pass (K-12)

What’s the difference between a “Local” pass and a “System” pass?
MCT System passes can be used on all MCT fixed routes. MCT Local passes are $30.00 cheaper but cannot be used on routes traveling outside of Madison county.

Eligible on MCT buses that travel within Madison County: Routes 1,2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13X, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24X, 25X

MCT System Monthly Pass ($70.00)
Eligible on all MCT fixed-route buses: 1, 1X, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13X, 14X, 15, 16, 16X, 17, 18, 19, 20, 20X, 21, 22, 23, 24X, 25X

Where can I buy Passes?

Can I purchase it online?
MCT does not have a web store, however most passes are available for purchase on your phone through the Token Transit App. Learn more at: www.MCTonYourPhone.org

Passes can also be gifted and texted to the person of your choice!

Can I use MCT Monthly Passes for Metro (Bi-state) buses or MetroLink?
No. MCT Monthly Passes are only valid on Madison County Transit vehicles.

Can I use MCT Monthly Passes for ACT Paratransit trips?
No.

Can I use MCT Monthly Passes for Muny Express?
Yes.

Is there a discount for students?
Students in Kindergarten through 12th grade can purchase the MCT Student Monthly Pass for only $10.

In the summer months Madison County students 18 years old and under can ride free on MCT with the Summer Youth (Memorial Day through Labor Day).

Do I have to remove the pass from my wallet if the driver asks?
Yes. The driver has the right to hold the pass in his or her hand to verify that it is valid.

What happens if I lose my pass?
A lost pass will not be refunded, and a new pass will not be issued.

What’s the earliest I can purchase a pass?
Monthly passes can be purchased for the next month as early as the 15th of the previous month. MCT passes on your phone are valid for 30 days and not tied to a calendar month as MCT paper pass are.

What’s the latest I can purchase a pass for this month?
The 14th is the last day that passes will be offered for the pass month. For example: September 14 is the last day September Monthly Passes will be sold. MCT passes on your phone are valid for 30 days and not tied to a calendar month as MCT paper pass are.

Can I bring a friend or family member and have them use the pass as well?
No. The pass is for one person. A guest will have to have their own pass or pay the fare.

Even if the driver knows I have a pass, do I have to show it?
Yes. It is the responsibility of the driver to see each pass at every boarding. And it is the responsibility of the rider to have their pass with them, or they must pay the fare.

My pass has been cut in half. Can I tape it together and still use it?
No. Torn or damaged passes are not valid.
