BEAT THE RUSH AND RIDE THE MCT RAMS EXPRESS

Convenient, Round-Trip Bus Service Offered from Home to the Dome

GRANITE CITY, IL..., AUGUST 14, 2008... Rams Football returns to St. Louis this weekend, and the perfect game plan for getting to the game is riding the Madison County Transit (MCT) Rams Express. The Rams Express provides convenient and affordable bus service to and from all Rams preseason, regular season and playoff games at the Dome. Madison County fans can park at one of 12 convenient locations near home and save the expense and frustration of tackling the traffic and parking. The Rams Express kicks off on Saturday August 16 as St. Louis hosts the San Diego Chargers.

For just $2.50 each way for adults (13 and older); $1.25 each way for children (ages 5 to 12), senior citizens (65 and up) and persons with disabilities; and FREE for children under 5, the Rams Express drops passengers off on Cole Street (between 7th and 9th Streets) adjacent to the Dome, 30 minutes before kick-off. The buses will depart from the same location 20 minutes after the end of the game. No food, beverages or coolers are allowed on the bus. Pick-up and drop-off locations for the Alton Rams Express include Alton Square (lower level), Alton Holiday Inn, Eastgate Plaza, Wood River Station, and Granite City Station. Edwardsville Rams Express stops include Edwardsville Station (on Main Street), Cottonwood Mall, Maryville Park & Ride lot, and Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville. Highland Rams Express stops include the Highland Park & Ride lot, St. Jacob Park & Ride, and Troy Park & Ride, (all located on U.S. 40). Rams Express brochures with specific pick-up times for each home game are available on MCT buses, at MCT transfer stations, or at www.mct.org. For details, call (618) 931-7433. Groups of 30 or more should call MCT in advance to ensure seating availability.

Madison County Transit (MCT) enhances the mobility of the St. Louis region by providing multi-modal transportation services. MCT operates a fixed-route bus service, connecting to MetroLink; express weekday commuter service directly to and from downtown St. Louis; and seasonal express service to the Rams games and the Muny. For elderly and disabled residents who are unable to use the fixed-route bus service, MCT provides complementary paratransit bus service. MCT is also responsible for the construction and maintenance of more than 85 miles of Madison County bikeways, as well as overseeing RideFinders, the region’s FREE ridesharing program.
