ATTENTION #16, #16X & #19 PASSENGERS:
Beginning Mon., December 5, MCT will open “Leclaire Junction,” the new bus and bikeway
facility in Edwardsville on Buchanan/Troy Road, served by the: #16, #16X & #19.
The new facility includes:
- A lighted park and ride lot on the west side of Buchanan
- Brick shelters that are lighted and heated for passenger comfort and safety
- A lighted bike/pedestrian wheelchair accessible tunnel, eliminating the need for passengers and trail users to cross traffic
- Bus pull off areas to prevent buses from blocking traffic
- 24-hour video surveillance cameras in lots, shelters and tunnel for passenger safety
