MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS AND RIDE THE MUNY EXPRESS TO GET THERE
MCT Muny Express Season Begins with ‘42nd Street’ on June 19
GRANITE CITY, IL., JUNE 8, 2009 . . . Seven Friday nights of fantastic Broadway musicals are just a
bus ride away with the Madison County Transit (MCT) Muny Express this summer. Convenient and affordable round-trip
MCT bus service to the Muny in Forest Park begins Friday, June 19 with 42nd Street. Riders on the Muny Express
avoid parking hassles, increasing fuel prices and traffic congestion by enjoying a relaxing trip to and from
all Friday evening performances at the Muny.
The Muny Express is $3.00 each way for adults (13 and older); $1.50 each way for children (5-12), senior
citizens (over 65) and persons with disabilities. Children under 5 are FREE. Fares for the Muny Express
are paid at the time of boarding. Buses will drop-off in front of the Muny 30 minutes before show time
and will leave for the return trip 20 minutes after the final curtain from the same location.
Pick-up and drop-off locations for the Alton Muny Express are: Alton Square, Alton Holiday Inn, Eastgate Plaza,
MCT Wood River Station and MCT Granite City Station. The Edwardsville Muny Express stops are: MCT Edwardsville
Station, Cottonwood Mall, Maryville Park & Ride and Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville. Passengers are
welcome to park at any of the free Park & Ride lots along the route. In addition to 42nd Street, the Muny
Express will also travel to Annie (June 26); Meet Me in St. Louis (July 10); Godspell (July 17); The Music Man

coolers are allowed on the bus.
Madison County Transit (MCT) enhances the mobility of the St. Louis region by providing multi-modal transportation services. MCT operates a
fixed-route bus service locally within Madison County and regionally in the form of metro service connecting to MetroLink; express weekday
commuter service directly to and from downtown St. Louis; and seasonal express service to the Rams games and the Muny. For elderly and disabled
